First Day of Issue / 1st Day Cover commemorating the life of Anthony Fokker , 6 April 1890 to 23 December 1939...It has two 25 cent Dutch stamps and is franked Luchthaven 6X78 Schiphol...It commemorates a flight from RAF Northholt to Fokker V.F.W. Schiphol via Nantes and Frejus in a Andover CC2, XS 794 of 32 Squadron RAF and a flight from V.F.W. Schiphol to RAF Brize Norton in Andover XS 640 of 115 Squadron RAF...The rear is stamped Fokker VFW 9-X-78 SCHIPHOL and ROYAL AIR FORCE BRIZE NORTON 15 NOV 78...Comes complete with its information slips inside...This particular cover has just been purchased recently by ourselves from the Great Luftwaffe General Adolf Galland's widow Heidi Galland , it is not numbered and was a gift to the late General for signing the edition of this cover at the time , It is part of a large batch of covers that we have just purchased from the late Generals widow Heidi Galland...It is signed on the front by Luftwaffe Legend General Adolf Galland ...priced @ £95.00 for this one off cover that once belonged to the Great General Adolf Galland.
