Rare 1st day cover of The Biggin Hill International Air Fair 19-20 May 1979 commemorating A.W.( Bill ) Bedford OBE, AFC, FRAeS and the Flight flown in his honor in Sea Harrier XZ 452 from Dunsford to RAF Boscombe Down on Delivery to 'A' Squadron of the Aeroplane Armament Experimental Establishment...It has a 7p postage stamp and is franked with the official British Forces 1642 Postal Service Biggin Hill International Air Fair 19 May 1979 stamp... It comes complete with its information card inside...The rear is stamped Royal Air Force Biggin Hill 19 May 79...The front of the cover is signed by Luftwaffe Legend General Adolf Galland , Knights Cross Oakleaves Swords and Diamonds and five German Veterans...This particular cover has just been purchased recently by ourselves from the Great Luftwaffe General Adolf Galland's widow Heidi Galland...It was a gift to the late General for signing the edition of this cover at the time , It is part of a large batch of covers that we have just purchased from the late Generals widow Heidi Galland...priced @ £125.00 for this one off cover that once belonged to the Great General Adolf Galland.
