Rare 1st day cover of the 40th Anniversary of V-E Day Jersey 8th May 1985...It has a 12p Jersey postage stamp and is franked by the 40th anniversary V.E day official stamp...Inside it comes with its official information card and a signed photo of Francis Gabreski...It is a certified copy bearing the No 0155 of 1000...The front is signed by Luftwaffe Legend General Adolf Galland , Knights Cross Oakleaves Swords and Diamonds , Colonel Francis Gabreski USAF and Pilot of the P-51 D at the 50th Anniversary Display at I.W.M Duxford Captain Peter Jarvis...This particular cover has just been purchased recently by ourselves from the Great Luftwaffe General Adolf Galland's widow Heidi Galland , it was a gift to the late General for signing the edition of this cover at the time , It is part of a large batch of covers that we have just purchased from the late Generals widow Heidi Galland...priced @ £125.00 for this one off cover that once belonged to the Great General Adolf Galland.
