This is a very rare print sold out many years ago and is well sought after on the secondary market...This particular print has just been purchased recently by ourselves from the Great General Adolf Galland's widow Heidi Galland , it is not numbered and was a gift from Robert Taylor to the late General for signing the edition of this print , It is part of a batch of prints that we have just purchased from the late Generals widow Heidi Galland...Throughout the six years of World War II the Spitfire and the Messerschmitt Me-109 were locked in combat - in the annuals of aerial conflict no two such evenly matched fighter aircraft ever fought so consistently over such a sustained period of time, or with more distinction - this print recreates a memorable contest between these two aircraft over Southern England early in 1940...
