This is a very rare print sold out many years ago and is well sought after on the secondary market...This particular print has just been purchased recently by ourselves from the Great General Adolf Galland's widow Heidi Galland , it is not numbered and was a gift from Frank Wootton to the late General for signing the edition of this print...It is a rare Limited Edition by Frank Wootton and is signed by the Artist and the legendary Luftwaffe General Adolf Galland...Taken from an original oil painting by Frank Wootton depicting Adolf Galland in his last combat sortie; leading Me262s of JV44 on an interception of USAAF bombers high over Bavaria.After being charged with the formation of JV44 - the famous ‘Squadron of Experts’ - Adolf Galland became the only General in history to lead a squadron into battle. He finished the war with 104 air victories, all in the West, and was decorated with the Knight’s Cross with Oak Leaves, Swords and Diamonds.
