Here we have a total one off 'Eagles at Dawn' this is from the personal collection of Robert Taylor and is the final un-trimmed proof for the print run of Eagles at Dawn , Robert has written on the lower left of the print Final Proof. Robert has also written a description of why it was the final proof ' Eagles at Dawn ' Although pleased with the final proof it did not quite match-up with the soft lines of the original. This edition sold out extremely quickly in a very short time , down to Hartmann's signature no doubt. It has been adorned with a large stunning remarque to the lower right of the print...On Thursday, August 24th, 1944 a 22-year old Oberleutnant Erich Hatmann powered his Me109G fighter in a spectacular low pass over his squadron's airstrip in north-eastern Romania, wagging his wings to the cheering Luftwaffe personnel on the ground below.
