This training sortie retraced the route of the raid on Cologne in 1942 on which Fg. Off. L.T.Manser won the Victoria Crosss...Total Flight Time : 3 hrs 35 mins...It is signed by Sir Arthur T. Harris and Adolf Galland plus the crew of Vulcan B.Mk.2 , Captain : Wg.Cdr. D. Ward , M.A. , First Pilot : Flt.Lt. B. Head , B.Sc. Nav. Radar : Sqn. Ldr. J.A. Williams , Nav. Plotter : Flt. Lt. This particular cover has just been purchased recently by ourselves from the Great Luftwaffe General Adolf Galland's widow Heidi Galland , it was a gift to the late General for signing the edition of this cover at the time , It is part of a large batch of covers that we have just purchased from the late Generals widow Heidi Galland...priced @ £295.00 for this one off cover that once belonged to the Great General Adolf Galland.
