Peter Ayerst, flying a 238 Squadron Mk IIC Hurricane, brings down a Junkers Ju 87 Stuka, west of El Alamein on his birthday, 4th November 1942. He goes on to shoot down an Me 109 minutes later but unfortunately his aircraft is shot up by flak and he has to make a forced landing safely behind allied lines....
